Hey guys! I hope all have had a wonderful weekend!
As you have probably noticed I have had a bit of a move around on the blog. It’s still very much work in progress but so far I like the way it is coming along. I won’t go into the ins and outs of the layout or anything until it is finally finished. I have designed a new header and everything too, although I am having a few technical issues at the moment in getting it to show up on the blog. So if there’s any Thesis for WordPress experts out there then your input would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve had a pretty busy weekend as yesterday I got up really early to head to Leicester for a shopping trip with my mum and her partner to get the last bits for her wedding outfit. We picked up a lovely tailored jacket that matches her dress, a fascinator and her shoes, so now all she needs is her bag. She is going to look so pretty!

I also bought a few bits for my own outfit too and tried on numerous pieces of wedding headgear which I am still debating on. We first went to the bridal boutique where my dress is from and saw the perfect veil. The only thing that put me off from buying it there and then was the cost of it. For a piece of netting that I am going to wear for only 1 hour 30 minutes at the least and never going to wear again, they are very expensive for what they are. I’ve been looking on eBay too and seen various cheaper options, but concerned that the quality just won’t be the same.
Alas, I’m sure I will make a decision soon as my dress is being released next week!!!! I’m so excited that after 6 months of waiting my dress has finally been completed. I can’t wait to try ion my own dress instead of the sample in the store, exciting times!!!
Well it really has been a super busy week as work was busy today too, but I still managed to fit in some great workouts this week:
Monday: 3 mile run ab exercises
Tuesday: an extended version of strength workout A with 20 minutes of HIITS on the machines
Thursday: MTV Yoga DVD
Friday: an extended version of strength workout B with 15 on the adaptive motion trainer
Saturday: 6 hours shopping is more than enough exercise in my book!
Sunday: Yoga for runner podcast and some freestyle yoga
I decided to give my usual body balance class a miss this week as Alfie was home early from work so I spent some quality time with him instead. I’ve been really enjoying my new extended strength workouts too which I must share with you soon.
My favourite eats from this weekend include:
A 2 egg omelette stuffed with smooth peanut butter inspired by and a chopped apple. I also had a raspberry and banana smoothie too. This was such a delicious breakfast!
Mixed salad leaves with chopped tomatoes, cucumber, and celery topped with broad bean, asparagus and mint hummus (shop bought!) and a Food Doctor Pitta Pocket.
Iced vanilla soya latte
Panini with goat’s cheese and sweet onion chutney and rocket, yum!
I also devoured one of these brownies from a selection that I have been sent to review from the Happy Kitchen and my Lord they are heavenly! So dense and fudgy, I cannot wait to get stuck into the rest of them and write my review.
I fancied some lentils and cooked a batch of red lentils in a tomato sauce with aubergine, red peppers and mushrooms in tomato sauce the other night and had some of the leftovers last night. With the lentils I had a baked Bush Bok sweet potato and some steamed broccoli, yum!
It really has been quite the weekend of shopping, great food and making more progress with the wedding. We have a meeting with our wedding co-ordinator next week so cannot wait for that my thesis is almost ready to be printed and signed off…wohoo! Although slightly stressed I’m on such a high right now!
Do you always weigh up the cost of something before purchasing or do you just buy? I’m seriously considering buying the more expensive veil that I saw in the bridal boutique yesterday as it was the best one that I saw overall. I guess there is the option of selling it on Ebay afterwards too.
