A big whoop to Friday! I hope this has week has treated you well. It’s been a pretty great week for me, nothing exciting but nothing to complain about either.
This week I took delivery of some Chobani yoghurts to review for the blog. I’ve seen these yoghurts on US blogs for like forever, so was very curious to see what all of the fuss was about. Hmmm…I’m going to save opinions for my review post but they are probably very against the grain.
I tried the pot of plain Greek yoghurt for breakfast this morning with figs, blackberries and nutty granola, love simple breakfasts like these.
At the weekend I made some homemade hummus with shop bought green pesto and fresh basil leaves stirred through. To say that I have been a little bit mad on it this week is to say the least:
Homemade hummus with raw carrots and red pepper slices makes the perfect snack.
Rather than a salad dressing I had some hummus on top of my salads instead. This salad included salad leaves, tuna, red pepper, red kidney beans, tomatoes and avocado, yum!
Some of my other favourites from this week:
Creamy oats made with almond milk, figs, local honey and tahini- I’m in a bit of a fig groove at them moment, is it obvious? =)
A traditional green smoothie. This really simple and much-needed after too many sweetie the night before. I mixed spring greens and a banana with almond milk, water and local honey. I added so many green leaves to this that it was rather potent but it really sorted my sugar levels out.
I’ve been loving my salads this week and this one didn’t disappoint. It included avocado, tomatoes, celery, mixed leaves and one of my bargain Moroccan cous cous salad pots that I got from M & S.
When I got home last night I was treated to a lovely meal. My lovely and very soon hubby to be had cooked me dinner. He made vegetable noodles with Thai salmon fish cakes (another Marks and Spencers special). This was so delicious and he remembered to pack in lots of veggies just for me. =)
Obviously I have been doing my home workouts again this week, but I am dying to get back into the gym- I can’t see this happening now until after the wedding. There is still quite a lot left to finalise and with a commute to work it has meant that I have had to prioritise my time a lot more.
This weekend I have some very exciting plans, my hen do! I am so looking forward to it, a weekend of pampering at a spa with my girlies. The spa has their own gym so my work out gear was one of the first things that i slung into my suitcase. After the chaos of the lat few months this is exactly what I need. It’s going to be so much fun!
Have you ever been on a hen do? What did you get up to? Where did you go?
What do you have planned for the weekend?
